Cushman & Wakefield’s Atlanta Retail Investment Advisors Group has arranged the sale of the 223,100-square-foot Village at Lee Branch II Shopping Center in South Birmingham to Monarch Investments of Atlanta. The property is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 280 and Doug Baker Boulevard.
Mark Joines, Drew Fleming and Fain Hicks of C&W’s Atlanta office and Mark Gilbert of the C&W Miami office represented the seller, Rushmore Properties, a private real estate investment firm based in Chicago.
Village at Lee Branch II is anchored by Hobby Lobby and Carmike Theaters, and also includes Baumhower’s, Taziki’s Café, The Melting Pot, Sport Clips and other national tenants. The sale included several undeveloped pad sites, including one next to Hobby Lobby that could expand the center by 35,000 square feet.
“The Village at Lee Branch II presented investors the relatively rare opportunity to acquire a value-add, community shopping center in the affluent southeast corridor of Birmingham,” said Joines.
